Privacy Policy — IPTV Basic
Last updated: 29 July 2026
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the IPTV Basic Android application ("the app"). The app is a neutral media player: it does not host, provide, or include any channels, playlists, or content. You choose the sources you load into it.
2. Information we do not collect
We want to be clear about what the app does not do:
- It does not require you to create an account or sign in.
- It contains no analytics, telemetry, or tracking SDKs of our own.
- It does not send your data to us or to any server we control — in fact, we operate no servers at all.
- It does not access your contacts, photos, location, or camera.
- It does not record audio. The voice search button hands the request to your device's own speech recognition app, which is governed by that app's privacy policy. We never receive the audio or the result of that recognition.
3. Information stored only on your device
To work, the app saves a few settings locally on your device (using Android's private app storage). This information never leaves your device except when your device connects directly to a source you configured (see section 4). It includes:
- The playlist (M3U) URLs or Xtream Codes login details you enter, so you don't have to type them again.
- Your favorite channels and your recently watched list.
- The receipt for your premium purchase, as issued and digitally signed by Google Play, so the app can confirm your purchase without an internet connection.
- Your acceptance of the app's usage disclaimer.
You can erase all of this at any time by clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app. There is nothing stored on our side to delete.
4. Connections the app makes
When you use the app, your device connects directly to the sources you choose. We are not involved in and cannot see these connections. Depending on what you do, your device may connect to:
- The IPTV provider or playlist server whose address you entered (to load channels and streams).
- Public community directories available online (for example, the iptv-org project) when you use the "Free" shortcut.
- Servers hosting channel logos and electronic programme guide (EPG) data referenced by your playlist.
- YouTube, when you open a YouTube link, played through Google's official embedded player.
These are third parties. They may receive technical information such as your IP address and process it under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. YouTube playback is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access any source you load.
5. Advertising
The app may show advertising supplied by Google AdMob. We do not operate the ad service ourselves and we receive no personal information from it. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and technical information such as your approximate (coarse, IP-based) location, device model, and operating system version. This is described in Google's advertising documentation and covered by Google's policy on how it uses data from partner sites and apps.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, using Google's official consent dialog. If you do not consent, no ads are requested at all. You can change your choice at any time from the app's settings. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings, under Settings › Privacy › Ads.
Users who purchase the premium unlock do not see advertising.
6. Purchases
If the app offers optional premium purchases, these are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Your payment details are processed by Google and are never seen or received by us. Google's handling of that data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Permissions
The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:
INTERNET— to load the playlists and streams you configure.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE— to check whether you have a network connection.FOREGROUND_SERVICEandFOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC— to keep a recording running while the app is in the background.POST_NOTIFICATIONS— to show the notification for a recording in progress.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM— to start a scheduled recording at the exact time you set.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED— to restore your scheduled recordings after the device restarts.com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID— added by the advertising library (see section 5). It is used only when you have consented to personalised ads.
Recordings you make are saved in the app's own private storage on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere, and they are deleted when you uninstall the app.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them. Because the content shown depends entirely on the sources a user provides, we recommend adult supervision for younger users.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
